Three Things to Know: Power at Knights – 17/06/22

CARRARA, GOLD COAST | 17.06.22 | Mark Majdandzic

A win back at home last weekend sets up a big clash against fellow top 4 team Peninsula Power on Friday night! Here are three things to know about the upcoming clash!

EARLY PUSH

Starting the game off well will be important against a Power side who had a tough 120 minutes of Australia Cup action at Coplicks midweek with 10 men. Fatigue might play a part to play but ensuring a team doesn’t get motivated and high on adrenaline with early success will be crucial to come away with the spoils from the Croatian Sports Centre.

TURN AROUND

Our action against Peninsula has been less than favourable so far this season with defeats in both NPL QLD and Australia Cup action. Writing the wrongs of those two games will be crucial should we continue our quest to move up the table considering the points gap between not only Power but Lions and Olympic. A win could set up us well for the upcoming fixtures.

HOME WIN

Both games against Power were away this season and having home ground advantage will be a big step in getting the job done. Traditionally having a strong home record is a given for a Knights team and a win against Power tonight will set us up well as we progress through the second round of the season which features a bulk of home games.
