After a slight pause in proceedings the Knights are back in action against Logan Lightining tonight in NPL QLD catch up action! Another away trip beckons for the red, white and blue as we look to get a winning feeling to kick off the month of May!
Here are three things to know before this evening’s clash:
A point we made last time before the Easts game has the same impact this time around- the opportunity is there. Recent results in NPL QLD action has opened a door for Knights to capitalise and re-focus a league title run with a win at Cornubia Park tonight. A key factor will ultimately be- opportunities! Creating opportunities is great, finishing them is even greater and three points is by far the greatest!
A busy month of May awaits the red, white and blue and getting the winning feeling back amongst the squad will be imperative for a successful month across both the League and Australia Cup fixtures. Two narrow losses in the league should give plenty of confidence knowing that if the front third goes to plan the ultimate goal of three points will be much easier to come by at the conclusion of the first match in May.
Our opponents this evening have had their fair share of goals in their fixtures this season with an average of over four goals per game in their respective fixtures across all competitions. Taking away their 1-0 win over Gold Coast United the averages increase to almost 5 goals per game meaning that both ways their could be something on offer. In their last hit out Lightning won a thriller against Moreton Bay 4-3 so knowing their strengths and negating them early will be pivotal for the result tonight.
