Gold Coast Knights have recorded their third consecutive home victory and fourth in the NPL with a come from behind win against Brisbane Roar NPL.

In the toughest game yet for the Knights, the opening exchanges saw both sides have opportunities before the Roar opened the scoring at the halfway point of the first half through a fantastic finish by Alex Parsons.

Before the end of the half however, Max Brown found a way to squeeze one past Freke in the Roar net and level things for the home side heading into the break.

The second half began with the Knights on the front foot, creating multiple opportunities before a brilliant piece of work by substitute Curtis Stollery set Marek Madle up for his second goal in Knights colours.

With Roar applying pressure to snatch an equaliser, the Knights held on to take all three points in a big game moving forward, sending the boys in red, white and blue to second place on the NPL ladder.

The attention now turns to continue the run of form when we take on Logan Lightning away from home this Saturday.
