Gold Coast Knights have made it back to back home wins and three wins in a row, defeating Capalaba FC Bulldogs 2-0 on Sunday afternoon.
With the uncertainty of the playing surface deep into the week, the pitch was good to go and Knights capitalised early once again, with Jheison Macuace scoring for the third consecutive game within the opening 5 minutes to give the home side a lead.
From then on the Bulldogs made it a tough afternoon at the Croatian Sports Centre, being resilient in defence and trying to stop any fluidity that the Knights had in attack.
The away side were reduced to 10 men in the early stages of the second half, as Tarig Hammad was shown a red card thus allowing the Knights to press on and hold more possession throughout the second half.
A fantastic reaction save by Knights keeper Josh Langdon held the home sides one goal lead, before substitute Mason Cross sealed the win and all three points with a composed finish.
The attention for the Knights now turns to the Thursday night clash against Taringa Rovers in Round 4 of the FFA Cup before heading into the Easter break!
