Gold Coast Knights have partnered with the biggest club in the Norther NSW region Kingscliff Wolves FC through the Our Coast Program to be a major hub over the border.
Kingscliff have been an instrumental part in player development throughout the Northern NSW region and have consistently produced players who have gone on to bigger and better things.
With a prospering region and raw potential throughout not only the club but the surroundings, Knights Football Director Jimmy Gotis said the partnership is only the beginning of what is set to come.
“The Northern NSW region is untapped for raw talent and we have consistently seen players coming from across the border and further down the Northern Coast making an impact across all levels,” said Gotis.
“Having the ability to give these kids training under our coaches for free will only enhance the club’s talent and hopefully develop even better footballers.”
The program will feature Knights coaches providing free training sessions to Kingscliff’s players down at Walter Peate Reserve to begin the partnership with more developments on the way.
Kingscliff Wolves President Gillian Austin said that the club was excited to be able to work with Knights in the present and the future.
“We are extremely excited for this partnership and working closely with not only the football department of the Knights but also the governance and business side,” said Austin.
“The opportunity to give our kids who are wanting more the ability to train under Knights coaches at no additional cost will go a long way into what we see ourselves becoming in the future.”
We look forward to seeing the continued development of the Wolves moving forward!
