GOLD COAST | 30.5.22 | Mark Majdandzic

Gold Coast Knights can officially confirm and publicly announce that Robina State High School have come on board to partner in the Our Coast Program!

A rich history in producing football talent through their football/futsal program, Robina become the first school to join the program and welcome Knights coaches as part of their full time program.

Under the stewardship of Alex Morrison, Robina have housed plenty of current and ex Knights players over the years situated in the heart of Robina, a short distance away from the Croatian Sports Centre.

Competing in the QFSL and a high achiever in the futsal space, the partnership with Robina can nurture talent both ways and produce top footballing outcomes for players through education and football.

GCK Football Director Jimmy Gotis said that Robina’s football philosophy fits the Knights and what the Our Coast Program stands for.

“Robina have shown over the years a want to provide a top level football experience at a public school level which is a massive appeal for us and the Our Coast Program. We want to be able to provide children from all different clubs the best coaching possible at a school level.”

The partnership has already been in place for Term 1 of the school year and well into the Term 2 calendar and Robina High Football/Futsal Head Coach Alex Morrison said that the positive outcomes have been great for all.

“We have seen a fantastic response from our players, parents and staff with the coaches coming in from the Knights and it has been a great beginning to what will hopefully be a mutually beneficial partnership between the two of us,” said Morrison.

We look forward to working with Robina High School and the remainder of our Our Coast partners throughout the year!
