Gold Coast Knights are delighted to welcome onboard Runaway Bay Bayhawks as the Northern Base for the Our Coast Program!
A breeding ground for players over the last several decades, Runaway Bay partner with the Gold Coast Knights to provide extra training sessions, coaching support and developmental pathways for the large base on the Northern Gold Coast.
The program kicked off in style with the Knights coaches working closely with the up and coming talent at the Bayhawks and their staff on providing extra training for FREE to all the players.
“Runaway Bay is thankful for the Gold Coast Knights providing an opportunity for our players at Runaway Bay. The focus for us as a club has always been giving back to the kids as best as we can and with the Knights coming in to run sessions for free it only brings added valued and opportunity to the players,” said Runaway Bay President Lee Russell.
The program runs once a week at the Bayhawks at no cost to their players with Knights coaches providing the services and recognising the talent on hand in the Northern corridor.
“We have always highlighted the Northern corridor as a massive growth region on the Gold Coast and being able to partner with Runaway Bay will only advance the pathways and access for the players within the region,” said GCK Football Director Jimmy Gotis.
“Our aspirations in the area is to give as much back as we can to each and every player with Runaway Bay a central starting point to do so. Lee and his entire committee have been welcoming and have the same vision as we do on providing the best possible service to their members.”
We look forward to seeing the development of the Runaway Bay Bayhawks as the year goes on!
